CosmosPreserve is a liposoluble preservative. For optimal efficacy, it should ideally be added to the lipid phase or the surfactant system of your formulation.

It is heat-stable and can be incorporated into the heated phase (40–60 °C), either in the melted lipid phase or during the hot emulsion phase. Alternatively, CosmosPreserve™ may also be added at room temperature during the final formulation stage, however, ensure proper dispersion throughout the formula.

Effective at ONLY 0.75-1% for preservation but recommended dosage at 1-2%. For value-added benefits 1-4% dosage is recommended depending on formula.

Yes, CosmosPreserve™ is suitable for use in solid shampoo bars. These low-water or waterless formats naturally limit microbial growth due to their low water activity. In most cases, a concentration of 0.75% or lower is sufficient to achieve preservative efficacy.

Because CosmosPreserve™ contains Triethyl Citrate, which may influence the texture or hardness of solid formats, the final concentration may be adjusted based on the formula’s physical characteristics. Overall, concentrations up to 4% are considered compatible in solid systems.

Yes. CosmosPreserve™ is a blend composed of Triethyl Citrate, Cladonia Rangiferina, and Cladonia Stellaris. The raw materials are 100% of vegetable origin.

Triethyl Citrate is made via esterification of ethanol (from sugar beet fermentation) with citric acid (from cornstarch fermentation).

CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) numbers are unique identifiers assigned to pure chemical substances. Whole botanical ingredients like Cladonia rangiferina and Cladonia stellaris generally do not have CAS numbers because they are considered natural plant extracts, not single chemical entities.
